Forest Fox🦊challenged us to find some bumpy trees with interesting tree bark. Our little Crofters produced some excellent tree bark printing. Afterwards, we had fun exploring the forest🌳 💪Developing our strength and balance, all which helps us to be super writers ✍️

What a fabulous morning we had at Forest Schools! Forest Fox had some ‘chirpy’ friends 🐦 join him this week and they challenged us to create nests 🪺 for them. Our little Crofters worked in teams to construct a nest fit for their birds! What super teamwork and nest building!👏🏻

How amazing it has been to finally enjoy the sunshine ☀️Our little Crofters relished playing with their friends in the warm weather. From creating dens, ‘muddy’ ice-creams and even a dance performance! Some little Crofters choose to stay inside and create their own ‘flowers’🌻

Is it Drawing Club today? A question we often get asked at the beginning of the day! The love, joy and eagerness to draw along with the confidence it has given our Crofters is a delight to see 🥰 We are so proud of their progress and the pure happiness.🌻#thetranbyway

It was a hive of excitement today for our little Crofters. We learnt all about bees🐝and they then blew us away with their super drawing skills in Drawing Club. After, we acted out how female bees collect nectar and make honey, then tasted it straight from the honeycomb.😋🍯

Our little mathematical Crofters worked collaboratively to order their Numicon pieces, took turns to remove a piece and worked out which piece their partner had taken. They then identified where the piece needed to go e.g number 3, is in-between 2 and 4. #numicon #subitising 👏🏻

How inspiring watching the Y13 leavers play against the staff in a hockey match today. Our Crofters loved watching and cheering from the sidelines. Taking inspiration and creating their own game of hockey back in our provision 🏑

Behind every area of learning is a hidden skill and muscle that the children are developing. Fine motor activities develop children’s coordination, concentration and finger strength, which is all the fundamental skills before being able to write! #learningthroughplay
