For me, it's very easy because I've known Sachin for 19 years now. I understand him so well. So whether I am his girlfriend or his wife, it's the same thing, just an extension of that bond. I don't find it very difficult and I'm used to it.

Ajit bhai did everything for him, sacrificing his own interests. I thought I should do the same. Besides, mine wouldn't have been a 9 to 5 job. so if there's a patient that needs me in odd hours, I have to make myself available. I made a decision & I have never,ever regretted it.

It was me who informed Sachin's parents that they wanted to get engaged When he was in NZ. SRT-'telling parents that he wanted to marry Anjali was tougher than facing the most fearsome bowlers. it was & thats how I had planned it. I was sitting in NZ happily & Anjali did it.'😃

We had gone to see movie Roja. I was studying medicine then couple of my friends planned. Sachin did try telling me that it would be difficult but I insisted that he come along. To make sure nobody recognised him, we even got him a beard & specs as well and we went in late.

Anjali- its difficult to be in touch with him during tours as no email, sms & very expensive ISD rates. I made calls after 10pm as low rates, walking out of campus, a stretch of which was always full of 'goons' in night. Writing letters the best option❤️

'Sachin was scared when i visited his home for the 1st time, posing as a journalist. He was a bit hesitant on how can a girl can come to my home'. His sister Felt something Wrong asked me if i am is really a journalist, as she saw him giving me chocolate.

Anjali- I was destined to meet him, "He was there with Star Cricket Club & I was also in Eng. My dad called wanted me to meet the boy who had scored 100. but I said not interested in cricket. Maybe if I had met, I would have chased him when he was 15🤣

I managed to get Sachin's Number after that, called him & was lucky that he picked the call. "- I am Anjali, I saw you at the airport. He said he remembered me. When asked what colour I was wearing, he remembered that it was an orange T-shirt."

then I forgot about my mom.I ran up screaming Sachin Sachin "The funny part is Ajit and Nitin were there with him, he was so embarrassed that this girl was running, screaming name & he was only looking down & didn't even look at me quietly got into the car.
