Very helpful talk from @helenhayes_ my own MP discussing a heartbreaking case study highlighting failings in her care leading to a delay in diagnosing stage 4 bowel cancer. Symptoms were dismissed and she was told she is too young to have this disease #WRH2024 @LeighDayHealth

Life before the NHS should not be forgotten. This is so moving.
What a poignant reminder of the importance of the life saving introduction of our National Health Service in 1948, which ensured that our taxes provided a health service for all, available when necessary to anyone in the UK. The envy of the world.
