Very sad to see @SEANLWOODCOCK vote for a badly designed, poorly consulted, and quite frankly dangerous welfare bill, without having responded to my constituent concerns raised a good six weeks ago (and yes I put in a consultation response too).

Retweeting because it’s so important. I’d not be half the academic, mother, Christian, or disability advisor I am if I wasn’t proactive in acknowledging and working through practical disability issues in compassionate and pragmatic ways. No shame. Everyone matters.
THREAD: Today we're launching the NESTL toolkit @UniofOxford - a toolkit to support neurodivergence in education. I'll be livetweeting some things about it, and follow up later with key points. Happy to take questions!.

I wrote to @SEANLWOODCOCK about five weeks ago and also offered pro bono disability advisory support, seeing as how it’s my job & all. Have yet to hear back. Anxious about what the reality of disability support means to apparently disinterested MPs.
MPs are doomscrolling about #DisabilityBenefits cuts - I know this from DMs. If you have the spoons maybe:. ✅ Amplify MPs opposing the cuts.✅ Give them thumbs up/hearts.✅ Show support in replies. The whips are pressuring them HARD. Your positive reinforcement could tip votes.

I’ve got PIP. I work full time, not least because I also have Access to Work. My colleagues & students think the world of me. Yes I need support. And?PIP enables me to work. It is totally not an out of work benefit. But cuts / changes to both PIP & AtW will jeopardise everything.
Lisa Nandy is either lying or has grossly misunderstood what her constitutents are saying here. PIP is NOT an out-of-work benefits. 1 in 5 people on PIP are in work. Noone on PIP WOULD EVER say this. Full stop. I will be complaining to the PCC.
