🏁🏁.Redmond’s of Dennistoun (Dennistoun). Is there a better way to wrap up walking around this incredible city by having a pint in one of Glasgow’s best pubs?. No, in all honesty. What a day. This is the best lager I’ve had in my life.

2️⃣5️⃣.James McGrory Park (Provanmill). The penultimate stop on this whirlwind walking tour of Glasgow’s football grounds: it’s the home of St Roch’s! James McGrory Park is named after one of the most important figures in Celtic’s history. Now: a glass of Tennent’s lager! 😛

2️⃣4️⃣.Petershill Park (Springburn). Home to Petershill, Glasgow City, Partick Thistle Women and Caledonian Locomotives - everyone’s welcome!. Will need to visit for a game in the future.

2️⃣3️⃣.Springburn Park (Springburn). This is another synthetic-pitch-in-a-cage facility but another community asset and the home of Finnart nonetheless 🤝

2️⃣2️⃣.Ashfield Stadium (Possilpark). Our sixth and final bonus location is Ashfield Stadium, the former home of Ashfield and the current home of the Glasgow Tigers speedway team. I’ve never been to speedway before but it seems like decent fun!

2️⃣1️⃣.Keppoch Park (Possilpark). One of the few West of Scotland Football League grounds I’ve been at. I saw Glasgow Perthshire defeat Dalry Thistle 6-4 at the tail end of last season. Ludicrous football!. I’d highly recommend giving this place a visit 🤝

2️⃣0️⃣.Firhill (Maryhill). While I worry about whether Knightswood play at Scotstoun or a high school in North Kelvinside, here’s a picture of Firhill, Partick Thistle’s home turf. What a summer they’re having - every day, a new club statement. I can’t keep up!

1️⃣9️⃣.Lochburn Park (Maryhill). The home of Maryhill Juniors and apparently a must-visit ground. We’ve done almost 55,000 steps but I’ve got a second wind and I’m confident we will finish strong!

1️⃣8️⃣.Hamilton Crescent (Partick). One of the most important historical sites in the city, this was the location of the first international football match! Scotland took on England in a goalless draw on 30 November 1872 🤝

1️⃣7️⃣.Scotstoun Stadium (Scotstoun). Knightswood, winners of the West of Scotland Football League Fourth Division, play out of the large sports complex at Scotstoun. So too do some mark rugby team, and that’s the last time we’ll be discussing rugby today, thank you!

1️⃣6️⃣.Peterson Park (Yoker). BSC Glasgow’s ground resembles a public park but, from the distance I’m standing, the pitch looks in good nick! The club finished at the very bottom of the West of Scotland Football League with just three points.

1️⃣5️⃣.Donald Dewar Centre (Drumchapel). Named after the successful and long-serving Drumchapel United manager, the Donald Dewar Centre is effectively a sports complex with a synthetic pitch attached. Another superb community facility 🤝

1️⃣4️⃣.Holm Park (Clydebank). A bonus location, this is the home of Lowland League new boys Clydebank and West of Scotland Football League crack troops (and stars of James Kelman’s wonderful novel A Disaffection) Yoker Athletic. It’s not in Glasgow but it’s en route to Drumchapel!

1️⃣3️⃣.McKenna Park (Shieldhall). We’ve reached the halfway point. I’ve clocked in more than 30,000 steps and my hips are aching. I am in need of immediate medical attention. Ladies and gentlemen: the home of St Anthony’s 🤝
