Senators will vote at 2pm tomorrow on whether to officially begin debate on the Senate's first 2026 federal spending bill, funding for military construction projects and the VA for next year. Senate advanced the bill on a large bipartisan vote 91-7 with 60 votes needed earlier.

Welch (D-VT), who voted No against advancing thr Senate’s first 2026 federal spending bill, later announced on the Senate floor that he meant to vote Yes. Final vote tally is now 91-7.
