You will have to treat police better if you want the best people and to retain them…..their pay, terms and conditions are not good..always under threat from public,, press no rights to breaks, remembering all the law/wording whilst doing 12 hour shifts …they deserve better

He was a student officer on about 12.50….with good work ethic which is difficult to find these days …he made a mistake not against the law I would employ him .

This is absolutely ridiculous do you know how much they get paid ..a good work ethic is positive …they will never recruit enough police officers when they are treated so badly and paid so little …
A student officer who took on other paid jobs as a football referee and bar worker without permission has been dismissed following a hearing. PC Louis Cosway will be added to a national barred list preventing him from working in policing again. More:
