Everyone started yelling at the sky. Everyone wanted more. A lady greeted us from her car saying she was glad to have stopped. People were happy and annoyed. We were disappointed and glad at the same time. Something is for sure, we'll try to chase more.

We tried to set up everything to see shadow bands and moon shadows but it didn't work. It was too ducking cloudy. After giving up with the shadows we just started to look up, missed the diamond ring and Baily's beads but for a few seconds we saw it. 💕 It got cold and dark.

Totality was about to happen and we saw a few patches in the sky. Both sides of the road of the picnic area were full. A car stopped creating a second parking row, so we parked behind them and immediately got out of the car.

There were a few "windows" in the sky (i.e., patches without clouds) and while in the car I saw something that looked like 25 % coverage of the Sun. That on its own was exciting. We found a crowded picnic area. It looked very packed and I was afraid we were going to get stuck.

We ended up asking for a car to go more North. Too many clouds everywhere. 😢 I was a bit concerned about starting driving after 1st contact, but it was worth it. 0 traffic issues. While we were driving, I was in the backseat with my goggles looking at the sky. #SolarEclipse

I've discovered that they use the same #soap worldwide. It triggers my allergies. I don't know how a soap can be so annoying. I'm about to think that the idea is to prevent us from using their restroom. Is it so? 🤔 #McDonalds
