Please get back to doing puzzles, sudoku, board games, crosswords, word search. Read long novels and watch long form videos. Seeing my students and even my age-mates uncomfortable being cognitively unentertained is... something. We’re losing patience with thinking deeply.

Ehhhh I’ll happily pay $8k-$15k per year if it means my daughters are doing tons of exercise, being off of screens, learning how to be part of a team, learning how to win and lose…and NOT having ample time to discover drugs or teenage pregnancy.
Kids travel sports teams are a scam. My daughter did competitive gymnastics. It was costing us $9–11K per year. I see families doing the same with travel baseball, soccer, volleyball… Spending $8K–$15K annually. And almost every parent I talk to says the same thing later:

I got totally destroyed in the last bear market after FTX, Luna, and so on. I was one of those who got debanked. Currently embroiled as a creditor in the Safemoon bankruptcy and it is no fun! (p.s. - I won't get a penny back I bet). I've been in this space long enough to watch
