Nissan sold the Access, a 5-seat MPV with sliding side doors, only in 1990 in America. A replacement for the old Stanza Wagon (Prairie), it was sold as the Prairie in all markets outside NA. Canada received it from 1990-1995, where it had a Sport Wagon trim.

The Cadillac Cimarron did not use the same trims as other Cadillacs, but received its own. The only trim package on offer was the D'Oro, meaning "of gold ." It turned many things gold on the Cimarron and was initially only available with black paint. Later red and white added.

The 92-93 Achieva SCX was the final attempt at a sporty two-door from Oldsmobile, and also wore a W41 badge. The Achieva was Oldsmobile's final coupe. It was the only vehicle badged SCX. It was the final gasp of historical H/O, International, Touring, and FE3 designations.

In 2014 because of the popular AMC show where a Tucson appeared, Hyundai made a The Walking Dead special edition Tucson. Complete with blood spray grafix, badging, and a "zombie survival kit" in the trunk. It was perhaps the most cringe special edition vehicle ever.

From 1989 to 1992 there was a limited production .Jaguar XJ exclusive to the US market. It was above the Vanden Plas, called the Vanden Plas Majestic. Available only in red from 89-91 and dark red for 92, with color matched lace alloys wheels, cream seats, and red piping.

The Oldsmobile Bravada was the only GMT 330 SUV that did not receive an upmarket transitional model prior to the switch to the GMT 360 platform, unlike the Blazer (TrailBlazer) and Jimmy (Envoy). Instead it received the two-tone Platinum Edition trim for 2000-01.
