Bro, this show IS one of my guilty pleasures. AND SOMEHOW AVID ARAD WORKED ON IT. What is it with that dude working on random kids' related stuff? He even did the Brats movie. YES!.
@CopicSquiddo Pac Man and the Ghostly Adventures. Somehow a show based on a game with Essentially no canon goes so far off canon it's actually funny. Plus the jokes were often pretty funny.

That's what I don't get because is this ANOTHER reboot because I thought going forward TLV canon WAS *THE* canon they were sticking with, given the show.
@CopicSquiddo I thought the lost village was pretty good, a step in the right direction, they didn't try to make the smurfs 'hip', a bit lore breaking maybe but it felt more sincere, then they took 50 steps back with this new one.

Yeah, I've had my shit on national TV too. but that didn't fuckin' matter when the client didn't pay me. Pay your fucking artist when you more or less have them as the entire design/animation team.

This is a bad story but AI only brought the underbelly of the problem that was already there, that being the client was already cheating op by not properly paying her and using the 'exposure' lie to keep her with her.

By end, shit client tells her about AI but wanting to keep her on; it's a cop out. Shit client is going to use OP as a meat puppet to deflect when the AI art is called out and/or she'll start begging op for real art to keep her rep but still not pay her.

OP did a lot of heavy laundry lifting for shit client but never got compensated or done so properly. The scam is growing, especially when you get to the copyright issue later.

Read the whole story; the problem begins at point one. It doesn't matter if your work got on national TV. This woman DID NOT PAY YOU even before she started using AI. That is a massive red flag.

It wasn't like something like Patreon or others where the ARTIST is the one in control and it's their actions that work as advertising to bring in people. It was like Indeed but much, much worse.

Can I add a bit? The whole idea guy thing was why I didn't like sites like Fiverrr and others. I quickly felt swallowed up in a platform where there was no real communication between artists and what a user wanted, just the bartering.
The sad part is that we're going to see more cases of this in the future. Instead of it just being bigger corporations screwing over younger artists who don't know much, it's going to be "ideas guys" who don't have any clear vision scraping the work of struggling artists.
