This took 30 seconds to generate on my rtx 3060 using an update to my pipeline focused on speed. I couldn't help adding some music for this late night post, I promise I'll go to sleep now ;) 🪻🎶

@AIandDesign This is the general idea, although I've switched to using diffusers so that I can optimize it and use it with my other code for 360 images.

1. Install Auto1111 and an extension called Asymmetric Tiling. 2. Check the option to activate Asymmetric Tiling for the x axis, which allows for seamless 360 images. 3. Make images with your model of choosing, at 2:1 AR. 4. Write a prompt with the "equirectangular" tag.

@Coolzippity For better effects, train a LoRA on 360 equirectangulars :-) cc @artificialguybr

@angrypenguinPNG @artificialguybr I'm developing a dataset for this at the moment, it's a good idea for sure. There are also some methods to improve perspective warping with regular models, but in this case I was doing speed testing.

@Coolzippity Beautiful, but can it actually be ‘polygonized’, re-usable and extendable in a 3D environment, or will it always just remain an image?

@ArnaudMoreels I know a bunch of people are working on improving 3d mesh like @BlockadeLabs I also think traversing 360 images in a Google maps style will be possible soon, since depth maps + 360 projection of appearance have gotten much better this year.
