Billy Williamson was a member of the WLEX family for 21 years. Today is a tough day as we mourn the loss of one of our own. Billy was originally hired on March 3, 1993.

JCPS says if there are no changes to transportation, the Distrcit estimates it will lose between 17,000,000-18,000,000 instructional minutes.

Every seat inside Van Hoose is taken. Despite the off and on rain, a number of parents and students are going to stay here and watch outside. @WDRBNews

I’ve worked my dream job off-and-on for more than 13 years (first picture is from 2009.) I still love journalism, and wouldn’t be surprised to return to a newsroom one day. I’ll share what I’m doing next later. But we are staying in Louisville, and can’t wait to explore more

After 15+ years of nights, weekends, mixed in an era of early mornings, I’m most excited for a normal schedule. I’ve already signed up for a kickball team, and can’t wait to see what happy hour looks like. This also means more date nights with Maggie
