Due to the ever-changing situation regarding COVID-19 and in the best interest of the health, safety, and well-being of its students, staff, community, and the citizenship at large, Conroe ISD will be closed next week, March 16-20. Updates will be shared on CISD social media.
Students will not be required to make up any time as a result of school being closed because of inclement weather on January 16 & 17 due to the instructional minutes already built into the calendar.
Today marks the end of Dr. Don Stockton's tenure as superintendent of CISD. Dr. Stockton has served 32 years in the District with 15 of them as superintendent receiving numerous awards for his tremendous role in CISD & the community. Best wishes for a happy retirement!

Due to deteriorating road conditions and multiple power outages, Conroe ISD will be closed today, Thursday, Sept. 19. Students who have already been picked up by buses will be taken to their school and held there until they can be safely dismissed.
Due to potentially hazardous road conditions during morning arrival times and anticipated staffing shortages, Conroe ISD will be closed on Monday, January 11, 2021. In-Person and Remote/Online Instruction will resume on Tuesday, January, 12, 2021.
Conroe ISD will be closed through April 10, 2020. Updates will continue to be shared via the District's mass communication system, social media sites, and website.
Due to localized flooding and the impact to surrounding areas, Conroe ISD will be closed on Friday, May 10. The safety of students and our employees traveling to work is of the utmost importance. Campuses will communicate about the status of any evening activities.
CISD is monitoring the weather and roadways. Updates will be posted on the CISD website and social media pages. Messages will also be sent via phone, email, and SMS. Parents and employees wanting to receive SMS should make sure they have opted-in by texting “Y” to 67587.

Today is Dr. Curtis Null's first day as Superintendent of Schools in Conroe ISD. He has 18 years in education, serving 16 of those years in various positions including teacher, assistant principal, principal, and assistant & deputy superintendent in CISD.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of General Colin Powell. He has been a champion for education and teachers. Conroe ISD is proud to be home to the first school in the country to be named for him. His legacy of learning and giving back will continue for generations to come.
Dr. Curtis Null was named the new superintendent for Conroe ISD effective June 4, 2018. Dr. Null will serve as the 14th superintendent for the district since it was formed in 1892.

The CISD Board of Trustees selected Annette Gordon-Reed as the namesake of the new elementary school in the Conroe Feeder. She is a Conroe HS graduate, Pulitzer Prize-winning author, and a professor at Harvard. It is scheduled to open in August 2022 and is located off McCaleb Rd.

Conroe ISD principals and administration had a great meeting this morning to plan how best to serve our students during this time. We were focused on following the social distancing guidelines and keeping our school leaders healthy!
Due to widespread power outages, hazardous road conditions, and the potential for additional inclement weather, Conroe ISD will be closed on Wednesday, February 17. All extracurricular activities scheduled for Wednesday are canceled or will be rescheduled.
CISD will be operating with a 2-hour delay on Tues., March 22. All school start times, bus route times, & employee report times are delayed by 2 hours. The school day will not be extended. Please check your email or the website for an FAQ with examples on what this means for you.
After receiving an update about the possibility of continued power outages across our area along with internet instability, Conroe ISD will now be closed on Friday, August 28.
