Full room for town hall in Berks today, people who are clear they don’t care about polls, or national leadership, or the fact that it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in summer. They’re ready to work hard and win. My 20th PA county since April, enthusiasm is the same in all.

The only reason to remove the college degree requirement for FBI agents is to get more yes men. More people who follow Trump instead of the law and the evidence. Fewer willing to take on crypto schemes and other corruption in Trump world.

I was first a military lawyer then a federal prosecutor and I can tell you this is not going to help DC. Trump is trying to put yes men in there not do what it takes to fight crime.

York County PA voted for Trump by 25 points. Yet, “At Giant stores in the York area, the cost of bananas has risen 7.2%, chicken has risen 7.5% and beef has climbed by 7.6% since January. Eggs are up 22% this year.”

Oh and the new jobs we’re adding are in sectors like education and healthcare that are directly threatened by all of Trump’s cuts to Medicaid, schools, etc. Just an awful recipe for Pennsylvania.

Again, we’re losing manufacturing jobs in Pennsylvania under Trump, not gaining them. Another month, still down 1,000 jobs since last summer. How soon till the 4 Republican congressmen trying to save their swing districts next year admit the tariffs aren’t working?

York County, PA voted for Trump by 25 points, but like so many similar places I've been visiting, they're wondering why Trump hasn't added a single police officer to their streets.

Important read about how this admin wants fewer investigations of fraud, civil rights violations, and espionage. I wonder why that is?.

Exclusive @MSNBC reporting with @MarcSantia4NY: . FBI Director Kash Patel is imposing changes aimed at transforming  the bureau into a national police force focused on violent crime, current and former officials tell MSNBC—at the expense, they say, of the FBI’s longstanding role.

If a president actually wanted safer cities, they need money for more police. We did it a few years ago, but not enough. National Guard is no substitute for good local cops, read here about a case from my career that taught me why.

It's the government's job to get to the bottom of what's going on, why there were past incidents, and whether the workers are safe going forward. Today's victims deserve to know in a timely manner. But my experience is the investigators will need leadership to stay on track.

Also, be aware Trump has loosened regulations for OSHA, the agency charged with maintaining workplace safety and conducting investigations. And he wants to slash its budget. So either PA will have to step up or federal senators and reps will have to insist this is prioritized.

If you're an elected official with any authority over these agencies, force them to work together. Make them answer collectively: What actually happened? Why was there another explosion in February due to gas buildup? It sounds simple but it's easy for them to avoid answering.

After the Plum explosion in 2023 (we at Kline & Specter are part of a team representing victims), there was briefly a lot of attention. Agencies from local to federal responded. And there were past incidents in that community. Yet, in 2 years there's been no explanation.

Please keep those injured at US Steel in your prayers, and may God protect the one we lost. We should never forget how much we rely on steelworkers every day. I've been working on a local explosion case and here are some thoughts for elected officials: (1/5).

Today took me to Lancaster PA where I caught up with State Senator James Andrew Malone. He won a district this year that had voted for Trump just months before. A good reminder to go everywhere, talk to everyone, invite everyone in.

The Texas Dems are providing a test for all of us. They're trying to prove we want this democracy to work more than Trump wants it to fail. That we can outlast him and outwork him. No matter where you live in PA, you can help door-knock etc till we flip these 4 seats.

Ken Paxton was impeached by members of his own party for bribery. So when he accuses Texas Dems of the same, he should know better. Here is why he won’t be able to prove his case:

The Trump/Vance/Abbott gerrymandering is despicable but don’t let it get you down too much. The secret helicopter guy, who ran against stock trading and constantly trades stocks, is going to get fired for taking healthcare from people and there are similar examples all over.
