As some of our team work for charities, we are unable to express our voting intentions, but we look forward to working with the incoming government & city councillors as we continue our work to advocate for the Avon’s right to flow free from all forms of pollution ✊.

🌧️ Sewage spills are most likely to occur following rain (especially heavy), so we suggest waiting >48 hrs before going in the water as a precaution.🧼 If you do go in the water, bring sanitiser / a flask of warm soapy water to rinse your hands.🗣️ Keep your head above the water.

🚨Sewage alerts currently suspended 🚨. Our current sewage alert system has not been accurate since early April, as Wessex Water is no longer sending us email alerts during CSO spills. We recognise that this is a hugely important resource for those of you who access the river
