Harmed by psych drugs. Survived what others didn’t. Fighting for informed consent, truth, and accountability in mental health care. Silence protects no one.

This is what recovery from iatrogenic harm looks like for me: Walking 80 km a week, no stimulants, no noise, just nature, learning, and a dog who never judged. Healing happens when the world gets quiet enough to hear your own nervous system again. #TraumaRecovery #NatureHeals

Psychiatry’s greatest irony: A system so uncomfortable with normal human unpredictability that it calls it a “disorder.” That’s not stability, that’s institutional instability. #MentalHealth #Psychiatry #Trauma #EUPD #BPD

Complexity and depth aren’t the same thing. You can study complexity, but depth is lived, not learned. Academia can analyse pain, but only experience can understand it. Maybe what the world needs isn’t more theory, just more truth spoken from the inside.

SSRIs don’t raise serotonin; they block the transporter (SERT) that normally clears it away. This keeps serotonin active longer between neurons, temporarily changing how signals fire. When the drug’s stopped, receptors can stay desensitised until the system stabilises again.

Recovery from PSSD can be painfully slow. Numbness isn’t always permanent; it can lift in short “windows.” Each one means your body still knows how to feel; it’s relearning. Hold onto that. Healing isn’t linear, but it is possible. #PSSD #Hope #Neuroplasticity

The duty of care in medicine is personal and moral, not just procedural. Following policy isn’t enough when the policy itself causes harm. #iatrogenicharm #Psychotropics #PSSD

Some professionals write like prophets, not people. It’s not insight, it’s academic peacocking. Run their theories through Gravells’ Learning Cycle and half would vanish before reflection. Wisdom isn’t a riddle, it’s clarity.

Duloxetine (Cymbalta) SNRI. Inhibits SERT & NET equally, increasing both serotonin & noradrenaline. Synthetic thiophene-based compound, fluorinated. Often prescribed for pain & anxiety as well as depression. #Duloxetine #Cymbalta #SNRI

Venlafaxine (Effexor) SNRI = Serotonin-Noradrenaline Reuptake Inhibitor. Blocks SERT + NET → raises serotonin & noradrenaline. Synthetic phenethylamine derivative; short half-life → tough withdrawal. #Venlafaxine #Effexor #SNRI

Fluoxetine (Prozac) SSRI. Inhibits serotonin reuptake via SERT. One of the first “modern” antidepressants, highly lipophilic & long half-life. Contains a trifluoromethyl group – part of the fluorinated synthetic design. #Fluoxetine #Prozac

Sertraline (Zoloft / Lustral) SSRI = Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor. Blocks the serotonin transporter (SERT) so serotonin lingers longer in the synapse. Synthetic fluorinated compound derived from naphthylamine. #Sertraline #SSRI

You can’t medicate or motivate a population out of malnutrition. You can only make nourishment the default, cheap, accessible, and culturally normal.
