We have now counted up all the records from our annual BioBlitz! We had 209 records, of which 188 were at the species level. The majority of the finds were plants and insects, including a good number of bryophytes!
Our third Annual BioBlitz at Radley Large Wood last Thursday was a big success - with both students and experts joining us to help record a wide range of species! The weather was also wonderful, with bluebells covering the understory in large patches.

We finished our visit by potting some floodplain meadow plants, propagated by @longmead_tvwmrp using seed and willow woodchip compost from the site itself!

We visited @longmead_tvwmrp, where we learnt about the ecology of ancient floodplain hay meadows, the threats they are facing, and the efforts going on locally in Oxford to restore and conserve this precious ecosystem.
