52 of our comrades are spending the second month in prison. Initially, the state imposed punitive bail terms: Kshs. 300,000 bond + Kshs. 100,000 cash bail. This was later reduced to Kshs. 30,000 cash after a court petition — but most still can’t afford it. @DefendersKE.
