A huge welcome to Emma Goodway, our new Outreach Worker. "I am really excited to build the visibility, reach and usage of the Collection. I am incredibly passionate about being part of a world that always wonders and questions whose voices are not being heard."

Our wonderful and historic collection of books and periodicals is now protected from the sunlight by a set of window films featuring the Nuclear Disarmament (ND) logo designed by Gerald Holtom for the first Aldermaston March in 1958 and now part of the Commonweal archive.

79 years ago today, on 6th August 1945, the United States detonated an atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. There are many books in the Collection about what happened at Hiroshima but perhaps the most poignant is The Hiroshima Murals, the Art of Iri and Toshi Maruki.
