Interstate 70 westbound is closed at Brice Road due to a fatal accident involving a pedestrian. The closure is expected to last into the early parts of the morning rush hour.

I-70 west at I-71 will be closed through morning rush hour as a result of a construction crane striking powerlines overnight. All traffic on I-70 west is being forced to exit onto I-71 north.

On 11/27/24, 17-year-old Dionte Carey turned himself into Columbus Police Headquarters. Mr. Carey had been wanted for Murder for his involvement in the 11/18/24 shooting death of 19-year-old Taarah Griffin-Carmichael.

On 11/16/24, officers assigned to the United States Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force located and arrested 17-year-old Damire Harrison in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Harrison had a warrant out for his arrest for his involvement in the shooting death of 19-year-old Gene Sutton.

On 11/9/24 17-year-old Markel Dickerson-Turner, was arrested and charged with Murder for causing the death of 19-year-old Gene Sutton on 11/3/24 in the 1400 block of Demorest Rd. Detectives still need your help identifying and locating the remaining two suspects.
