"Hey, I've seen this one!" President Biden, after watching #MissionImpossible7 found more to worry about #AI. Mirroring how President Reagan grew concerned about computer security after seeing 1983's hacker film #WarGames. https://t.co/7vF17vpMun https://t.co/L5FCTpQwDz

War Games came up again today-- it's the favorite hacker movie of Kemba Walden (Acting National Cyber Director). She learned you can teach a computer through a game. Also a @readyplayerone fan--the book.

Healey asks Walden: Favorite cyberpunk book or hacker movie? Walden says WarGame was one of her favorite movies when she was younger. “I didn’t realize it was a hacker movie until I was much older.” Her favorite cyberpunk book is Ready Player One.

We take a momentary pause from WarGames to look at another hacker movie, Sneakers! Which is extremely beloved and highly regarded for its 'accuracy' of how Red Teams operate and work! "It's a holistic view of security" @webjedi Throwback to our poll

@Jason_Healey @webjedi Beyond the influence that WarGames had on an entire generation of cybersecurity professionals and hackers, WarGames is regarded as the movie that prompted the Reagan administration to develop the f NSDD-145 and eventually the CFAA.
