The first Belgian actor to play #agathachristie's Belgian detective #herculepoirot on stage or screen was Marcel Roels, in 1937, in a production of 'Black Coffee' (Cafe Noir). My new research brings this milestone moment to light. Full details at: https://t.co/YzqyEu7PkO

For #murdereverymonday Five Little Pigs by #agathachristie - Collins Crime Club 1st edition (Jan 1943). The jacket plays on the title as there are no farm pigs in the story! Many consider this #HerculePoirot novel to be Christie's finest & so it's well worth a read (or reread).
