🚨FINAL🚨: #2 Pella 3, #1 Wahlert 1. It's a double Dutch summer. Pella claims their first state title in program history, joining the softball team as champions in 2025. Landyn Bethards is the hero with his 2-RBI double in 6th. Teagan Hoekstra only allows 1 run with 7 Ks.

M7: #2 Pella 2, #1 Wahlert 1. Oh my. Pella's first hit of the day is a huge one as nine hitter Landyn Bethards smashes one over the left fielder for a 2-run double to put the Dutch in front. Pella three outs away from their first state title with 7-8-9 due up for Wahlert.

E6: #2 Pella 1, #1 Wahlert 1. Golden Eagles threaten again with a runner on third and two outs but Hoekstra gets the next batter to ground out to short. Something has to give as we head to the seventh. 5-6-7 due up for the Dutch.

M6: #2 Pella 1, #1 Wahlert 1. Isaiah Kettler draws a two-out walk but Wahlert ace Will Pierro is now tossed six no-hit innings today with four Ks.

E5: #2 Pella 1, #1 Wahlert 1. Wahlert gets a couple on with two outs but a lazy fly out gets Hoekstra out of the inning. Top of the lineup coming up for the Dutch in the sixth.

M5: #2 Pella 1, #1 Wahlert 1. Dutch go down in order again. Game is moving by very quickly.
