It’s FRIDAY!! 🚒 Time to meet our @ColaFire ‘Firefighter of the Week’ ! This week’s honoree is Senior Firefighter Ryder Clemmo, who currently serves our communities in Lower Richland County as a member of Rescue 4-2nd Shift.

This week we celebrated the leaders who guide our department and its vision each day! Happy National Bosses Day! 🚒🚒🚒

BEAUTIFUL ☀️ afternoon to show off the firetruck in Blythewood! Thank you to the Richland Library for hosting today’s program for families to meet our firefighters. Also great work by Engineer O’Donnell & Senior Firefighter Gilliam aboard Engine 26! 🚒

Crews quickly made entry and got the fire contained and under control. All tenants of the building were able to evacuate safely and there were no injuries. Damages from the fire were contained to the kitchen where it started. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Another quick stop 🔥 🔥 by our 1st Shift crews today after a kitchen fire broke out in a condo building off of Davidson Street. Thick black smoke 💨 was pushing from the unit when firefighters arrived on scene at Carriage Place Condominiums shortly before 3:30 p.m.

The occupant of the apartment was home when the fire broke out and he escaped safely. There were no injuries. At least one person has been left displaced. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Our 1st Shift crews made a quick stop on a fire at an apartment on S. Edisto Avenue this morning. Crews arrived on scene shortly before 11 a.m. to find smoke showing from a front bedroom of the unit. Firefighters quickly made entry and got the fire under control and extinguished

No one was injured during the operation but all ten units of the building were left damaged by the fire. Our fire marshals office is investigating what caused it.

Firefighters arrived on scene shortly before 1 a.m. to find fire quickly moving through the building. 7 Truck & Tower 9 got their aerials up and quickly began fire suppression efforts.

At this hour our @ColaFire 3rd Shift crews have brought a fire under control that tore through an abandoned apartment building on the 1700 block of Washington Street early Saturday morning.

A BIG congratulations to Fire Captain Dale Hornsby!! After a whopping 35 years with @ColaFire , today he called it a career! Station 24 was busy this afternoon as our members both current and retired stopped by to wish him well for the road ahead.

We’d like to thank everyone who came out last Friday to make our annual Fire Prevention Parade a great success!! That includes students at W.A. Perry Middle School, C.A. Johnson High School and Carver-Lyon Elementary School who lined our parade route. 👏 👏

Today we honor the memory of our fallen brother Battalion Chief Joe Morrow Kee Sr. who died in the line of duty on October 6, 1971. That day Chief Kee died of a massive heart attack while fighting a fire at the Gate House Restaurant. He was 60 years old.
