P567 - worked on blending different colours for effect this week. We created our versions of the Milky Way Galaxy and they turned out really cool!

P567 had the recorders out this week learning some music notes. We successfully managed to play a little nursery rhyme too :)

VE Day Celebrations this week. We have been using instruments in class and were trying to follow the rythym and beats of some of the classis VE Day songs. The class loved playing Run Rabbit.

P567 had the parents in this week for Easter Activities. ICT interactive games, Watercolour painitng and RME Booklets. Big thanks to all that came. The children enjoyed showing some of their work.

P567 used Marie Curie as our inspiration to create x-ray art. These turned out great.

P567 exploring Magentism this week - looking at different metals and testing what we could find around the school. We made compasses by magnetising a parperclip and putting it on a leaf in water. Some great discussion about this helping you if you were lost :)

Great fun this week as part of our Wider Learning in School. My group chose to "Design & Build". Using carboard - could they make a chair that could hold their teachers weight? .Varied success but a great opportunity for Collaborative work, learning from mistakes and teamwork.

Linking to Gloabal Goals this week we looked at the right to safe drinking water. This led to lots of great discussion in class. We made our own water filtration system with the end goal to producing safer / cleaner water.

Our ELC learners have been preparing for Burns Night later this month. We painted our flag (the saltire🏴) and are learning Scots words, songs and poems. @ClacksELC .#traditions #identity #scotland #haggis #rabbieburns

Card Games are a great method of working on respect in the classroom. They need to keep focused, turn take, solve problems with solutions rather than arguements. We are focusing hard on talking to each other in a controlled manner.

Another great Peep session yesterday. Our topic was making the most out of mealtimes. We made pitta Pizzas a great opportunity to use up leftover vegetables. @PeepleCentre @ClacksELC

The children have been working on their Stop Motion Animation skills to show and explain a WW2 Battle Scene. The children had to research, note take, listen to each other, resource, show creativity, and collaborate. So much fun and the animations turned out great. #learning
