Did anyone else see a runner for the first time after the break due to COVID and be blown away by how strong they look? Couple runners met up today and it seems their workouts are working. 😅 We really need to give the athletes a lot of credit for putting in work during this time

Lastly, a 20+ year record broken with a group of gritty runners. We had messed with the order all season as nothing was working well. I finally blew it up and told them to prove that they want it. Boy did they ever. Their names are now etched into the record books at HHS!

What can I say about this guy. Rees was one of those glue guys. He wanted to be on every relay to help the squad. I’ve never had an athlete EARN a spot on the 4x1, 4x4, and 4x8 relays. This was his reaction after going from 5th to 3rd at regionals in the 4x8 to get to state!

Our girls 4x8 competing at KU relays. This team was 4 new members than what ran the majority of the season for the year before. Little did they know, they would later qualify for state and earn top 5 in school history with a 10:09.

Tomorrow starts a new season. Day 1 of the 2026 Track and Field journey to Cessna! Over the years, I have loved the different athletes, personalities of teams, and the whole process of earning a ticket to state. I can’t help but look back and get excited about those moments.

What a day!
What a day folks! Rain all night and all meet and the jags still found a way! Girls qualify as a team finishing in 3rd! David Thomison also qualified for state finishing in 13th place! No better way to finish a cold and wet day than being a state qualifier!

Our distance athletes have 18 PR’s through 2 meets so far this spring! A very strong group of athletes, willing to work each day! Some highlights- Caden Cunningham: 12:03- 11:08 (3200) Ana Thomison: 6:53- 6:17 (1600) Holden Leggett: 2:08- 2:03 (800)

We loved our new October uniforms! Give @trackbarn a call if you need some new uniforms!
Our athletes loved our @trackbarn uniforms! We ordered them in July, received them 5 weeks later. All customized using their artists. It was an easy process! We even had an error, and they corrected it promptly with no hassle. I would highly recommend them for your uniform needs!

Today did not go the way we had hoped. That is why we run the race. The question is, what will we take away from today and how will we grow from this. Congratulations to all of the qualifiers! To be great this next weekend!

Andover Central boys (5A) won the schools first ever cross country league title today. David Thomison finished 5th, Ethan Boland finished 6th, and Matthew Baldwin finished 7th for the Jaguars. #sportsinkansas
