Everyone online has got it figured out. They're all making $10,000/month or more. They have incredible systems in place. They're scaling and multiplying every day. They have a big house, awesome car, beautiful spouse, no worries in the world. It's all a lie. Most everyone

You’re sacrificing fun now for something you truly want more later. The question is can you embrace that path.

While they’re hanging with friends, playing video games, chasing boys and girls, going to dances and movies, you’re focused on something you want more. You’re in the weight room. You’re taking extra reps. You’re watching film.

The hardest thing for young people to embrace about the path to greatness is being considered weird or different by their peers. Greatness isn’t hard to understand, but the path there isn’t easy. You’re going to have to act differently than those around you.

Building a program is a lot like trying to gain strength. There’s a lot of struggle at first. You’ll feel like things are getting better, the strength is coming. Then the next day everything feels heavy. Keep going, eventually you’re doing things you never thought possible.

The greatest display of love you can show someone is to recognize the greatness within them and then choose to hold them accountable to the standards and effort it will require for them to achieve that greatness.

Even if you were face to face with a lion, the fear isn’t because there is a lion there. It’s because of what the lion “might” do. This is why there’s a difference response to a sleeping lion, an alert lion, and a stuffed animal lion. Prediction of the future creates fear.

Yesterday my softball girls took turns sharing their fears. Then we took time to breakdown how fear stems from thinking about the future. Fear occurs based on a prediction of things to come. Learning to be in the present helps control fear.

The average person doesn’t fail because they lack the required skill to succeed. The average person fails because they lack the required patience to wait it out.

Avoiding the hard parts of your journey, is like trying to build muscle without lifting weights. The stress that comes from the challenges of life makes us more resilient and prepared for the next phase of our journey. Endure a moment of struggle for a lifetime of success.

I try to stay active here. I enjoy the community I’ve built. I look forward to our interactions. But this platform is low priority in my life. When I have to choose, the real world wins. Whether this post gets 1 million views or 15, changes nothing. Remember what matters.

Try to remember it’s not a race, but a journey. It’s not about being first. There will be scenic overlooks. Sometimes you will have to go down to keep going up. Every step is about moving your life forward, not inching closer to the finish line. You only lose if you stop.

It’s time for some mid-week feel good! Tell me about a win you’ve had this week or set up to have before the weekend. I’ll start. Today one of my high school athletes signs her letter of intent to play college softball. Gonna be a good day!

Our best learning doesn’t come from following instructions. Sure you might get the results you want by doing this. But you won’t learn why? You won’t have the tools to adapt. Our best learning occurs when we’re forced to problem solve. To apply knowledge to new problems.

Baseball is a game of adjustments. You go into a game, at bat, situation with a plan; then quickly adapt that plan. Life is similar in this way. It’s the first week of February, 1 month into the new year. We all had a plan for 2025. What adjustments are you going to make?

Learn how to fix things, teach your kids. If something is broke, you’re not gonna break it more. Today I repaired this shutoff valve and guts for my parents. Took me 90 minutes (including 30 to run to the hardware store) to fix. They were quoted $1,000 for this job.

What if stops more people than failure. The fear of what if controls our decision to take action and we convince ourselves that the potential outcome is too bad to proceed. Next time you’re challenged by what if I lose, fail, etc. I encourage you to ask what if you win?

Are you struggling as a father? Just remember there’s someone out there responsible for the warning label on your stroller that reminds you to remove the child before folding. You’re doing great! Hang in there.
