Diversity of thought. This tweet below. It’s a good thing for America. What’s bad for America is hate. It needs to be always known that you can disagree with someone politically but still not only work with them, but you can WIN with them and you can have a great relationship.
Very few people in football or in this world for that matter can separate their personal feelings and select someone who can help them win/succeed. I can and have. Last year when I was coaching D2 I recruited a kid from South Georgia who had a blue lives matter flag in his avatar.

Consistency is the key to reaching goals. Some days in football you have to go in and dig deep in your players and get it out of them. That’s not easy. But you do what you need to achieve your goals. Everything we do is for success to be the outcome. 9 days.#DoYouLoveFootball?.

Family. Never forget. Camp has to be physical and it has to be competitive for you to reach your goals as a team. But the other side of the ball, those are your brothers too. Never cross that line. Practice physical and safe. 10 days. #DoYouLoveFootball?.

Consistency is one of the hardest things in football. It’s hard to be locked in and ready to play every single day. Ready to practice every single day. High energy every single day. But it can be done. I have seen it. Starts with mentality. 11 days.#DoYouLoveFootball?.

This hit home to me. We took group pictures a few weeks ago. All the QBs and our QB coach look like Quarterbacks but me. I look like an undersized defensive lineman. But I love the guys in our room, I love our team, and I want us to win. They appreciate that. I’m very thankful🙏.
New Louisville WR coach Deion Branch:. Simple but important message…. You can be a former NFL star or a football nerd that never played. What’s important is be YOURSELF. That’s what the players respect and show that you care to make them better.

Two today; Being a part of a football team is being a part of a family. Always have your brothers backs and support in football and in life. But during camp, a level of competitive physicality is needed to reach your goals. Practice physical and safe. 12 days.#DoYouLoveFootball?.

Let’s add to this from yesterday below; One simple but very effective strategy to win football games? Make teams beat you. The saying “more games are lost than are won” is true. So limit if not eliminate unforced errors. Optimal execution does that. 12 days.#DoYouLoveFootball?.
In camp; .-You can never be too detail oriented in terms of executing. -You can never be too positive when guys execute. -You can never be too nit-picky when execution isn’t perfect. You win or lose because of the details, not talent or lack thereof. 13 days.#DoYouLoveFootball?.

Belief and togetherness are 2 factors critical for success. At the college level every team has talent. The difference between wins and losses go much further than that. Believe that you can dominate and rally around each other when you face adversity.14 days. #DoYouLoveFootball?.

Can you make a player a leader? If you have a good relationship with that player, YES! The best leaders are usually the most talented players and the most productive players. But sometimes those guys aren’t natural leaders. Teach them how to lead. 15 days. #DoYouLoveFootball?.

Mike Tomlin says “the secret is there is no secret.” What leads to success is doing the little things right every single day. Do the little things right, dominate at doing your job, have great attitude and effort, and diligently seek improvement daily.17 days. #DoYouLoveFootball?.

Conditioning discipline(up-downs, gassers, etc) is an effective tool to get players to lock in. Players know that. Players want to be great. Anything you prove will help them be great, they will do. Especially if they know they are close to greatness. 17 days. #DoYouLoveFootball?.

How do you stay locked in every day? Well it’s hard. But mentality is a component. Think this; Today we will improve, dominate at doing our jobs, won’t make critical mistakes, and when we make small mistakes we shake them off and play the next play. 18 days. #DoYouLoveFootball?.

Had to do another one today;.It’s hard to have high energy when it’s hot. So when your guys have it, they are on the right path. Consistency is NOT easy, but it’s possible to be locked in every day. I have seen it done with my own eyes. 19 days. #DoYouLoveFootball?.

Adding to this from last year. Energy and enthusiasm are underrated elements of being on a football team. Others feed off of you. Be excited to practice. We all know practice is a grind. But excitement is about getting better! That’s why we practice. 19 days. #DoYouLoveFootball?.
Know your role, be enthusiastic, elated about your role, take your responsibilities seriously. Football is known as the ultimate team game for a reason. It takes TEAM to win. Everyone knowing their role and dominating their roles no matter how small. #5Days .#DoYouLoveFootball?.

Add to this from last year; Be MORE enthusiastic when your guys do right than how hard you on them when you rip them. That’s important for them to know you love them and want them to be successful. Acknowledge success but demand consistent execution. 21 days. #DoYouLoveFootball?.
Acknowledge success but demand consistency. Easier said than done, no question! .But so important as a coach!.#DoYouLoveFootball?.
