Today was May Development Day for our brand new link leaders in our first year with the program and let me tell you, our leaders had such a good time! We are lucky to be building a program with these amazing students! 💙🦬

Today: Student asked me if I had ever heard of the rapper Ludacris and I responded not only have I heard of him I could rap most of his songs. He was surprised and said “you don’t look like someone who would listen to him” guess my teacher self doesn’t reflect my taste in music..

Twist on the reteach for our reassessment. Sometimes it’s hard to find what to do with the kids who got a 100% in the periods that I can’t swap classes (we swap by targets so kids can get the right remediation) so today I had the 100% kiddos teach the reteach and it went so well!

Sending out good luck goodie bags today to support our girls tennis and girls golf in their matches! Being a brand new school we don’t have all of our sports playing on campus so we show our support as best we can!

I don't think students know how much it means to teachers when they tell them they actually learned something in and enjoyed their class even in a virtual setting. My teacher heart is full today 💕

Discussion with my avid students yesterday was about a 10 year plan that started with 10 years ago (when they were 4&5) what did you want to be when you grew up. I got the typical answers of a princess, fireman, astronaut...then one girl said she wanted to be a panda and I died🤣
