And we get to talking. I’m beyond excited for him and what the futures holds. “I’m just ready to walk” and get to welding (he’s headed to a great school for it!). Then….”I’ll be the first one in my family to graduate”….THIS….THIS IS GREATER THAN ANY TEACHER APPRECIATION….

A senior who has worked his butt off to understand and succeed in my class this year came to me this morning. He could’ve mailed it in like so many others, but he was grinding and grinding for this moment…he hands me his final exam exemption, which he’s worked so hard to earn….

Before you hit me with “that’s ugly”….I do not care. She was still enough to get 5 hair ties in. I was patient enough to separate sections….I know people can do better, but today is off to a good start. #girldad #hairdosandhairdonts
