High school softball/baseball players, take this time to let your body rest. Play catch with dad or take a walk with a family member, spend time with loved ones & move your body in ways that feel good. But rest is party of the process too. Don’t undervalue it. Enjoy the holidays.

Travel ball coaches PSA: please let your pitchers know which games they are throwing early. If your pitchers can let us know which games they are throwing when they send us their schedule we will just plan to be at those games. It’ll protect their arm health and be good for all.

Every field in Colorado has memories. First time I met a good friend. The game where I sealed a deal with a top recruit. Watching my sister play her senior season. So many big moments have happened here that I can’t help but feel nostalgic recruiting these tournaments every year.

I forgot that a boy scout troop goes around to the fields in one complex in Colorado as a fundraiser. They drag their wagons full of drinks and snacks. They stopped for a break at the field I am at and their questions about the game are adorable. What a wholesome start to my day.

I encourage every throwing sport athlete to set some arm care goals for the new year. Learn the correct patterns overall, for different arm slots, how to involved your back and core, & how to properly long toss. We see so many come in needing to learn this. Set a foundation now.
