Well said, Coach. Hurts us when our guys are hurting or scared even though we can’t know exactly what they’re going through.
To all my former & current African-American players, and players I've coached against, I see your fears, pain, anger, and sadness. The Holy Spirit has convicted me to stay silent no longer. I'm not going to sit on the sidelines and watch you guys fight these battles alone!

Please stop using the fancy Gatorade themes on Hudl with the “Just wait for it” highlighter… I can’t even tell where you’re lined up my guy. Use the OG circle/arrow. Help a brotha out, trying to see if you can ball😂

That is SO COOL! Hated this had to be a “learning year” for our guys, but MAN are these young kids going to be ahead of the curve as they head into what’ll be some VERY good years!
Back in 2019, these two (Cameron and Parker) were Toy Bowl Champs along with their coach @Chad_Bischoff ! Looking forward to hearing their names over the next three years with @DeSalesColtsFB and hopefully another championship. @cambischoff3 @CoachJ_Football

Going through a tough season has its bright spots—case in point: getting to see this guy’s improvement—he’s come SO far on both sides of the ball. I love being able to say: NO QUIT IN THIS KID!
Senior Carson Mattingly: “My favorite memory is Bering HenryCo last year. I’m thankful for my parents and brothers at DeSales. Coach Jackson is going to push these future classes into DeSales men. I’m glad I got to do this year with him.”

Will always love and remember this WARRIOR for what he has done this season—he is the definition of COURAGE…humble, dependable, and LOYAL as the day is long too! What a future you have ahead of you—wish I’d had this TOUGH little guy for four years!!!
Senior Michael Craig: “Thank you to Coach Jackson. I’ve learned the game a lot this year and can’t be more appreciative to him. Thanks to my family and friends for pushing me to play this year and having my back. DeSales has given me the best friends and family.”

As good a kicker as this guy is, even a better guy just to be around! Love him for that great personality that just LIFTS everyone around him. Also, what a great example of how kids CAN be successful at multiple sports AND be a tremendous student!
Senior Logan Givens: “DeSales has been a big part of my life and my family’s life. Thanks to Coach Jackson for letting me play soccer and football. This program is headed in the right direction.”

Didn’t have him long—just long enough to wish he’d been with us all year! Better late than never though…and I know your FUTURE will be bright because good things come to those who work!
Senior Justin Powell: “I am thankful for my family for sending me to DeSales. It’s a place where you feel comfortable and safe. Thanks to Coach Jackson for having me play football as a senior. He is a good and dedicated coach.”

LOVE this guy for buying in and leading when I needed to sell the importance of off-season training. Great genes, but that’s nothing without great work ethic. When you see this program take off in the future, a lot of that will be built on the traits Kaleb brought daily!
Senior Kaleb Adkins: “I am thankful for my family and coaches throughout the years. I’m grateful for being apart of all the successions and failures. DeSales makes young men the best they can be. I’m proud to be apart of Coach Jackson’s team.”

When people think of James, they usually think “BIG!” I did too…but what I’ve learned is that what his biggest about him is his HEART. Love you, your big willingness to improve, and your HUGE heart! Can’t wait to see how much you improve on the field at the next level.
Senior James Glover-Tyson: “Most thanks to Coach Jackson for believing in me and my dream while helping me reach my goals. Thanks for all the love and support everyone has shown me along the way.”

The name “Pfaadt” is synonymous with “DeSales.” This kid will always be remembered by me as one of the most FULL EFFORT ATHLETES I’ve ever coached. …and your leadership as of late has been full speed too—love you, appreciate you, & wish I could get your effort a full 4yrs!
Senior Luke Pfaadt: “DeSales is a second home to me and a lot of my family. I loved playing Coach Scroggins my first couple of years. I’m thankful for my teachers, family, and friends. Thank you Coach Jackson for bettering me as a man. I wish I had more time with you.”

Being the father of 1 child I always heard how parents of multiples say they love them all equally. After having seen NUMEROUS retweets/likes from former players from my various stops, I think I finally get it. SO grateful for ALL the great young men I’ve had the pleasure 2coach!

My guys were a little over-matched tonight-& we made our fair share of “1st-game mistakes”-but DAMN did they fight, scratch, &claw! Not easy sticking your nose into a 235lb RB’s thighs when you weigh only 150, but I saw it time and again, even when way down. Love this team!

Cannot express how much appreciation I have for folks like this. Not only great parents to their own kids, but very often are there for other kids’ parents whose schedules make things like this impossible. THANK YOU!
The Food Crew! Preparing pregame meals for our Colts! Thank you for keeping the tradition alive. @DeSalesColtsFB @DeSales_Colts

2/2 …but also maintain important TRADITIONS of this incredible place. “Now is my time and I vow that before I leave, history will remember me as a Champion!” …can’t wait to see my guys at Chapel, focused and ready today at 3:00!

1/2…The word “love” is thrown around a lot—sometimes too loosely. But I know that love really means “willing to sacrifice for.” I can truly say I LOVE this team—the 58 players, every coach, and our 1 extremely dedicated manager for all they’ve done to change the culture…

2 scrimmages, 2 TD passes. Not bad for a kid fairly new to the position and in a completely new system. Evan Livers with a nice THUMBS TOGETHER grab! #coachability
@JakobiMcroberts Freshman QB (#10) at DeSales HS with a TD pass in a scrimmage against Iroquois HS last Friday night. #desalesfootball #coltsnation #co2026 #kyhighschoolfootball #fridaynightfootball @DeSalesColtsFB @DeSalesDCP @CoachJ_Football
