Allllll those juniors and seniors that left for those “National Elite Prospect Scout” teams still uncommitted - and NOT because they aren’t good enough to play college baseball, they all are …. But I guess honesty doesn’t work in this space anymore.

That said, no one has reached out asking to go to UAPB - not sure who would want to do that.

Guys that left to go to “All World National/Elite Team” reach back out for help with recruiting - it’s my favorite pastime - honesty and reputation means nothing anymore - people in thousands of different industries run this space based off their beliefs - they are called Parents.

Politics are great - if you polled, for the sake of conversation, 100 people if they thought this was a GRAND SLAM HIRE … 1K would laugh out loud but only a few are willing to not play politics and call a spade a spade.

Don’t know this Coach or the guys that run the program, honestly hope they are good dudes. However, this furthers my point of what this industry is and what the “consumer/player/family” latches on to. Probably arguing a check swing in a 9-0 ball game in the 5th - bad look.

We will continue to do things in which we feel is the right way in our space. Those and those individuals that don’t, you may get called out personally moving forward. Exposure to bs needs to be called out for the sake of the kids and their families not your personal gain.

The business side of baseball from the highest level down, more so on the collegiate side has infiltrated the mindsets of everyone in our space. The portal is a joke. Sure, there’s reasons that are legitimate to why some are there. Some.

Respect, loyalty and understanding have been thrown out the window at the costs of what? For our reasonings they haven’t, because they mean something and we stand behind them. We care about our kids and the people in our program.

This industry is like no other and quite honestly it’s disgusting. The game, its purity and the belief in what’s best for not only the development of the kid on the field but off the field is lost to fabricated BS most of the time. Unfortunately the winners lose in these times.
