A few of my girls went to the George Rea Cancer Center in Kirksville today and cleaned up the flower beds, pulled some weeds, and edged the main couple sidewalks. A beautiful day out, and they did an awesome job. @TrumanSoftball @TrumanAthletics

I got to make 2 short trips out this past week. Last Sunday, my niece and brother in law made a quick stop for over 20 fish! Then yesterday, I had a couple hours to spare and managed a 24 fish myself. My medium light Rippin Lips rods make chasing eaters so much fun.

Momma Killdeer is back. Last year we had a Killdeer nest on our Bulldog logo on the softball field. She is back and has laid 5 eggs in almost the same exact spot. @TrumanSoftball

Had a couple of great days fishing and camping this weekend. Day 1, the girls caught over 50 fish and kept me very busy! Day 2, the guys focused on getting us a crappie dinner and nailed it. They caught over 30 and kept 28 that tasted delicious.

Our annual mothers day fishing trip was pretty epic. Close to 60 fish, 5 different species, 27 keeper crappie. Mom killed it.

Here in Northern Missouri, the crappie are shallow and aggressive. If you're struggling, try finding a rocky area and work a jig SLOW about 15-20 inches under a bobber. This is a 1/16 Oz Arkie with a monkey milk colored plastic.

Nice evening chasing Crappie. 62 degree water. Didn't expect them to be up on the bank but they were. Better planning by me and we would have hammered them. Like usual, Tiff out fished me!

Easter weekend was good to me fishing also! Caught 36 of these slabs in right at 2 hours. Tried to turn all the females back but kept enough males for a snack! Lemongrass colored plastic on a chartreuse 1/8oz bighead was the hottest ticket.
