Absolute BEAST! Don’t compare your Journey to others. Just keep putting in the work when no one is watching.
This dude’s story is unreal • Cut from the team in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade • Made team in 9th grade • Played just 11 games of Varsity Basketball in HS due to bad grades • Went Juco • Now he’s one of the best players in the country, doing this

Dear young athletes- keep this photo saved to your phone and show the next person who says you have to focus on one sport in HS. The amount of kids I’ve heard say “I can’t risk getting hurt” or “my coach won’t let me” drives me crazy. You get one shot to be a HS athlete.

Every coach has seen it... talented athletes who never last. Not because of skill, but because they aren’t coachable. Athletes who listen, accept feedback, and stay accountable? They win. They last. They grow. Talent fades. Coachability doesn’t.

“Obsessed” with shot selection. You have to coach shot selection if you want your team to excel on offense. All shots do not create the same value. “What other great opportunities are out there on the floor that drive efficiency”
JJ Redick joked in his pregame media about how Chris Finch told him he was taking too many midrange shots when Finch was a coach of Redick's in New Orleans -- despite Redick telling Finch he had a "top 5 midrange efficiency for 8 seasons in a row". I asked Finch about that and,

Doing things your own way in a sport that requires 5 guys to work together is NOT and NEVER will be a recipe for success. The sooner you realize that as a player the sooner you will be successful as an individual!
Emanuel Sharp on playing for Coach Sampson: "At the end of the day, if you have, you know, a great attitude and you know how to be tough and you can come bring it every day, Coach Samp is the easiest person to play for... If you go against that and you try to do it your own way,

When I was named a head coach in 1996-1997, I coached this young man’s dad. He made logo threes before Caitlin Clark made them popular.

Need more content like this. TEAM Basketball, Unselfish play, scoring off assists and count the number of inside/out catch and shoot 3s.

Best players are not just great because they have talent and can score a lot of points. If you want to be considered one of the BEST…👇
Best players I've coached had a lot in common: - They were coached hard & didn't get feelings hurt - They wanted to be held to highest expectation - They were upset when they weren't coached - They demanded best out of teammates - They weren't soft - They'd do anything to win

Finally some footage/workout where players that might possess an advantage in the post and around the basket actually work on posting up.

It should be a requirement that you prove you are a reliable catch and shoot guy before you are allowed to even work on combo dribble step back 3s and pull ups.

You are not a college player and will never reach your potential if your practice habits are consistently below standard and expectations!!!
