In 26 years of coaching there is/are two statements I have NEVER heard. “I wish I would not have played football” or “I wish I would have quit playing football.” It is not about the game itself but more importantly about the STUFF you gain trusting in the process.

Advice to ALL young coaches. You MUST be able to deal with disappointment on a daily basis. From all angles. Players, that is normal, they are young and need to learn. Parents and yes, colleagues. As hard as it is, don’t make it personal and focus on ALL the GOOD around you.
