Friday 7 October we're receiving the keys to the pavilion. Teams will be able to shower after games meaning our local clubs can finally return to having Barlia as their home park. We'll be developing the pavilion into a real community hub for all

We have been left with a complete mess and no where near the standard of the 'flagships' of Glasgow Life.. Or even close to it.

We are delighted to announce that we have secured funding of £234,654 from
@ScottishFA
towards replacing the existing playing surfaces for the full pitch and 3 x five a sides at Barlia. We will also be renewing the floodlights to LED and creating a spectator barrier.

Today marks 6 months since we reopened Barlia to the community, a run down, neglected facility, deemed unviable, not enough customers, closed for nearly 2 years with no date to reopen by Glasgow Life / City Council.

Initial opening times will be 5 -9pm Monday to Friday.
And weekends 10am - 4pm (3 lets) as fixtures are set.

Our trustees have decided that even though we were refused council funding. Our FREE Friday night football access will continue for young people... 6pm - 8pm.

Looks like the dam has broken and the goals will be replaced by next week.
We will be hosting a summer football camp over a number of weeks.
Need to finalise details of dates, numbers and booking details. Hopefully have this by start of next week for 5th July start
The Council's free summer holiday activities programme & the holiday food programme start shortly. See the map below for your nearest events.

We are sad to learn of the passing of John Simpson, a name synonymous with Castlemilk Sports Forum who were integral to the building of Barlia back in 92 & helped promote & develop sport across the community for all ages, for many years. Latterly a talent scout at Celtic.

Bringing local people together at Barlia any time they are playing fostering community spirit. Now having to travel 2 miles away to play and train
