I know they are common place now but seeing 2 Red Kite flying north over my garden at the top of Portishead is still quite special.

Great birds in great company! And, though we got v wet, the wind and swell weren't too bad, so I didn't even feel queasy. Many thanks to @karleburford for organising the trip and @Clevedonbirder for doing the driving there and back. Top day out!
Fantastic trip from Falmouth with @ak_cruises. Others have posted numbers and photos of birds. 1000’s of birds in changeable weather. Wilson’s Storm-Petrol, Euro Stormie, Cory’s, Great Shearwater, Scopoli’s Shear, Sooty Sheat, Fulmar, Manx, Balearic and Sunfish.
