I try to stay mostly apolitical. But if one party constantly demonizes another by calling them “threat to democracy” “threats to the nation” comparing them to “dictators” and “Nazis”- how can you be surprised when insane people are continuously trying to assassinate their

One of the craziest stories I had never heard of (in my home city nonetheless). In 1963 an elephant died from LSD overdose at the OKC zoo during the medical research of LSD. #RipTusko https://t.co/VcdnWBtriW via @GWR

Hot take: If an oncologist calls a quite toxic regimen (such as Amivantimab plus Lazertinib) a “chemo free alternative” to patients - that is extremely disingenuous. Patients do not care about the semantics. They should know the regimen is toxic. “Chemo free” is misleading

Was fortunate to see @OzzyOsbourne back in 2017. Even at 68, he put on the best show I’ve ever seen

While I don’t always agree with @MorieGertz politics 😂, I don’t think I have ever disagreed with his take on a myeloma (or SMM) lecture. Great discussion tonight- thanks for all the amazing real life info. He’s not afraid to call out the BS

Best pieces of advice I got during training -it’s way easier to over treat than under treat -for inpatients, don’t get vitals overnight or wake them from sleep (unless truly necessary) -check if the control arm of the study is current standard of care -just caring = so important

I renewed my @InfoNbpas Board Certification. Certified first in 2015. I urge physicians in the US to obtain @InfoNbpas Certification. There is strength in numbers and the more of us certify the more likely it will become an accepted alternative to ABIM at your institution.

Two certificates. I worked hard, completed necessary requirements, and paid for both. One institution recognizes their cert for life, the other, after 35 yrs they now won’t stand behind because they want more money. I call bullsh*t. @FTC @linakhanFTC @SenatorDurbin @SenDuckworth

Random question for those who are sub-specialized in hematology oncology. Do you like (e.g. fulfillment) receiving emails about difficult/nuanced cases from community docs or is it more of a pain/burden? Feel free to DM me if you don’t wanna publicly say

Myeloma trials be like: Let’s see what happens to a surrogate marker that doesn’t matter with a non standard of care regimen versus a non standard of care regimen + new expensive drug. Conclusion: easier way to sell more drug by confusing everyone
