Write for people, not for 'bots! 🙂 Here's a take on overly formal writing @FromVivien (I meant to share this earlier).
Does anyone enjoy reading "formal - professional" toned writing? Our language is evolving. No one has time to look up jargon and buzzwords. Being more human in your tone and style doesn't make you less professional. It makes it easier to read.
