Thanks for podcasts and Twitter discussions this week… always informative. I really liked the tech PD in podcast format, as even with books these days I rarely read paper copies… I listen to audible books in the car or in my phone. @RCSDPodPD @RCSDConnect.

I agree that digital citizenship should be taught and reviewed throughout the year (spiral teaching) and not make internet safety a one time focus. I think in my class, I will review it monthly to engrain it in my kids. @RCSDPodPD @RCSDConnect.

The challenging part of social media/internet use in the primary grades is that before we can talk to parents or sell the positives of social media, some parents sign off on limited or no tech/social media in the first few days of school. #RCSDConnect @RCSDPodPD.

In my Grades 2 and 3 classrooms we do classroom tweets together on the big screen to teach them what kinds of things to say and which pictures are okay. I also get their permission which is instilling this behavior in them. #RCSDConnect @RCSDPodPD.

Yesterday & today we did yoga outside of St. Augustine School. When finished, the students read their library books on their yoga mats/towels. The students loved learning several traditional yoga moves while getting fresh air! #RCSDConnect @RCSD_No81 @RCSD_ET @StAugustineRCSD
