It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we share that Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry passed away peacefully this evening, Thursday, March 28, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Now is the time to look after one another, even from a safe distance.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Bridge will light up in red and white from April 3-7 to honor and support healthcare workers on the frontline of the COVID-19 response.

Today, Karl Bandemer was sworn in as acting mayor of the City of Fort Wayne following the passing of Mayor Tom Henry last evening.
Bandemer was sworn in by Adam Henry, nephew of the late Mayor Henry.
