A man who was sentenced in February as the result of a successful #IFED investigation has now been ordered to repay money he defrauded from the insurer. 💵 A hearing last week concluded that £30,000 must be paid within 3 months, otherwise he will face imprisonment.
Yesterday at #Preston CC, a man was sentenced for making a £50k Income Protection claim whilst working 3 paid jobs as a photographer and musician. @avivaplc acted on their suspicions, preventing Reason from inflicting a potential loss of £648k. #IFED

An organised crime group behind a £385k benefit fraud have been jailed after an investigation by our Dedicated Card and Payment Crime Unit. The team worked with @DWP to prove the gang were fraudulently opening Universal Credit accounts in order to obtain cash from the government.
