Heavens above! Jeremy Likness in Newport, Oregon, captured this view of the nebula called Ghost of Cassiopeia and the brilliant star Navi last Thursday. Beautiful, thank you, Jeremy! It does look kind of ghostly, doesn't it? 🌌📸 https://t.co/TZq1gWScfV

The 4th Supermoon of 2023 is tonight. The Sept. full moon is known as the Harvest Moon because it is the closest to the Autumn Equinox. We hope you have a howling good (and safe) time tonight. Source - Farmer's Alamanac 📷 Joy Roland #keeplookingup

This is the age of Sagittarius! Sagittarius! Ooops, wrong lyrics. Sagittarius looks more like a tea kettle than an archer. The constellation represents the Centaur of greek mythology, Chiron, who unlike his brethren, was an intellectual and became a teacher.

This artistic rendering of a cat in space created by a guest this summer, isn't far off the mark. There has been, to date, one instance of a cat going into space (nope, that movie from 1978). It was a French feline named Felicette. https://t.co/UdH2ixK3KX

Meet Franklin Chang-Dìaz, one of the first non-military scientists to regularly fly on space shuttle missions. He grew up in Costa Rica and went on to earn his PhD in Plasma Physics. https://t.co/0vPd3DCwkw #nationalhispanicheritagemonth

So, is it an ooey, gooey nougat center like Mars (you know, the bar)? Or something more? NASA determines what is at the center of Mercury.

NASA Scientists found evidence that Mercury’s inner core is indeed solid and that it is very nearly the same size as Earth’s inner core.

Burrrp! Oh, excuse me says the black hole never. Recently scientists have discovered that black holes suffer indigestion for years and then suddenly belch out fragments of stars they have consumed.

In 1904 our original telescope was moved. It is currently receiving some TLC. This includes the pier. Over time the pier has undergone some interesting paint choices. If you had your wish, what color would you make it? 1 Celestial blue 2 Make it a mural 3 keep it brown 4 Other
