Big thank you to @sydneyasauer and @Filtermag_org for covering our recent work on the use of reagent test kits and fentanyl test strips among festival attendees in Colorado!.
Most surveyed attendees indicated that they test “always” or “most of the time” before using substances. That's encouraging, yet “Access is still really difficult for people,” @CiannaPiercey tells @sydneyasauer. The researchers suggest ways to improve it:.

Elated to finally share this paper! People change behavior in response to drugs testing differently than expected or testing pos for fentanyl, but experience barriers to engagement w/ testing, like festival restrictions, sourcing, & social dynamics.

NIH withdrew several funding opportunities related to diversity. They’re not going to review the ones already in, and apparently they’re not going to pay the ones that have just been awarded.
