Not the win we needed, but one point is better than none. MoM has to be Sam McLintock, who signs off with a lovely goal.
All the best, Sam. It's been a pleasure watching you in the amber and black 💛⛪️🖤

One game too many for our lads. Deserved for the hosts who killed us immediately after the break. They've done so well to make it this far and we can't be any more proud.

Did about 90 minutes of editing last night. Will hopefully finish highlights from last night over my lunch break with a view to publishing at 6pm🤞
In the mean time here is, arguably, THE highlight:
What a performance. What a result. What a day. Brilliant to a man, but
@NCP_7
was on another level. One of the goals of the season and a threat all game.
Big shout out to Charlie Dowd. Off the bench after 70 minutes. On the scoresheet 12 minutes later. Pace and composure, salvaging a point to make it 6 unbeaten.
Some will say it's two points missed, but it's another point gained away at a tough side. And much of that, again, is down to Dan Jezeph. Some big stops, and one outrageous save in particular in the first half that. Can't be many better keepers at this level.
Making his league debut as a substitute against the runaway league leaders, Leon produced numerous outstanding saves that on any other day would've earned us a point. Brilliant performance despite the result.
Only our second home game under the lights this season. In our first, against Hednesford,
@DanJezeph
pulled off one of the saves of the season as we ground out a 1-0 win👇
Highlights from today's 6 goal thriller between
@Alvechurch1st
and
@leistonfc
are uploading to Youtube. In the meantime, here's a clip of the moment we almost snatched all 3 points (sound on):
(🎶: Barber's Adagio for Strings)
Tonight's Man of the Match, as chosen by Louie Long, is Ethan Sephton. Tore Coalville apart down the left, especially first half, and defended superbly.
Special mentions as well for Leon who was excellent again in goal, and Josh Mansell making his debut against a top, top side.
Didn't get the chance to harass our travelling support yesterday, so our MoM is based on feedback from the very friendly Banbury fans we met in the pub post match. "Too good for this level" was one of the many positive remarks made about
@cartss6
. Can't disagree.
Joe Hull was immense at the back today, and Claudio Dias marked a brilliant full debut with a goal. But Zak Brown... wow. What a player. He was everywhere today. As good a performance as I've seen in a Church shirt.
What a win on the road for
@Alvechurch1st
! 3 goals and a clean sheet makes the journey home much better.
H got us off to the perfect start, opening his account in the 4th minute
And of course a special mention for
@jackhallahan6
. He played the full ninety minutes of his first game back, following that horrific head injury sustained on the opening day of the season. 👏
FT Church 3-1
@PSLFC
Outstanding second half display from the Church lads sees us win all 3 points in atrocious conditions. Every player could easily get MoM today but it goes to the relentless Tyrell Hamilton who seemed to be everywhere and scored a great goal.
90+5' - OH MY WORDDDDD!!!!!!!!!
COME ON CHURCH!!!!!!!!
A ball is delivered to the far stick and Dan Sweeney arrives to smash home!!!!

Tough game today but a hard earned point. We struggled to get into our groove and a draw is perhaps fair. Charlie Dowd scored a great goal after we fell behind.
MoM though, for a brilliant display of down the left side, is Ben Cassidy.
I'm done with referees in this league. Saying this is off the shoulder? Absolutely disgraceful and indefensible. If he can't see it's handball, he shouldn't be refereeing. Simple as that.
90' - CHURCH LEAD!
Dan Sweeney, YOU BEAUTY!!!
He chases down the long ball before cutting inside and unleashing a venomous effort into the roof of the net!!!!!

Never imagined I'd get to watch Church play at even one league ground. To visit three in a single season, and even beat a League One side, is unreal. What a season. What a club. 💛⛪️🖤
48' - BEN CASSIDY, YOU BEAUTYYYYYY!!!!!! 🔥
CHURCH OPEN THE SCORING!
Concannon turns on the ball before sliding it to Cassidy, who is free and he absolutely rifles that ball right through the bodies and into the back of the net! 💥

Not the prettiest 3 points, but we'll take them! Some very good performances across the park but
@cartss6
was unbeatable at the back. No surprise with him and the skipper that we have the 3rd best defence in the league.
Right decision? Time will tell.
Undoubtedly one of the best, his record speaks for itself. Unprecedented player turnover has made it an exceptionally difficult job, particularly with the experienced core all departing.
Interesting to see who comes in now.
What a result! And the second half was among the best 45 from us this season. Ty with two clinical strikes, Danny non-stop running, Zak and Dave dominant in the middle.
But the fans' MoM is, again,
@TomSolanke
. Outstanding.👏
There wasn't much to celebrate last night but our goal was top drawer. A composed passing move involving 9 outfield players, clinically finished by Ty after a delightful touch through by Jack. Great advantage played by the ref as well.
Where to begin? Brilliant. Just brilliant. I could wax lyrical about any of the players, especially the centre backs and keeper. But Jamie Willets was beyond unbeatable won everything. MoM.
Sam McLintock 2 goals. Claudio Dias brilliant strike. Tufts marshalling midfield. Zak Brown everywhere. Tyrell tireless.
But Louie Long chose tonight's MoM, picking Danny Waldron. Can't argue with that.
Let's try this again, because some of you are such perfectionists.🙄
MoM
@DanJezeph
. Made sure we head home with a point. Said it before, and will say it again, not many better keepers in this league.
Once again we got the job done in an unbelievable first 45. Two wonderful goals from outrageous attacking play. Tamworth came out for it second half and deserved their goal.
MoM impossible to choose, but the consensus from the stand is the skipper!
Man of the Match could've been any of our players today, but the consensus among the travelling
@Alvechurch1st
supports was
@TyrellHmilton9
. Two goals, won the penalty and a menace throughout. Absolutely brilliant today👏
The results are in, and it was certainly tight😬
But
@JoshuaMansell3
just edges it as your

Player of the Month for January. What a fantastic contribution from the fullback who only made his debut at the start of the month👏

Jamie Willets header the difference. Banbury have had plenty of chances, but unable to breath our defence. Keep going Church!
