Yesterday on @hereandnow @NPR I explained how the pharmacy chains make their vaccine policies for at the corporate level and if things at Dept HHS are ambiguous - or in this case completely disorganized and chaotic - it would have filter down effects, case in point here.
My wife has Stage 4 lung cancer. She is one of the people the COVID vaccine actually helps. Thanks to the current mess at HHS, CVS is unable to get her the vaccine.

This is a brave, well-written op-ed. Kudos to opinion team for publishing. I believed in Ken Paxton. Here are three reasons why I can’t anymore. | Opinion https://t.co/K21PEawNaS via @houstonchron

I have lost my faith in Ken Paxton. He betrayed his wife, retaliated against his own staff, used taxpayer dollars to shield himself, and manipulated children’s issues to serve his campaign.

I’m with Arnold. Rigging political maps is never the answer, not even to beat Trump. Because no one can answer the question: where does the cheating end? Full interview: https://t.co/EqHL4mkFFu

It’s just one measure. I’ve cited it before but you’re right, it’s simplistic to expect a mirror. NYT did a really good job here looking at gerrymandering in California vs Texas:
nytimes.com
Republicans claim California is more gerrymandered than Texas, based on a simple partisan calculation. Experts say such a comparison is one of many useful but imperfect measures to quantify gerryma...
@floplag @ChronFalkenberg Anyone who uses the argument that representative ratio should mirror percentage of respective voters by party are basically saying that we shouldn’t bother to have an election and actually allow us to vote.

Schwarzenegger is vowing a fight: “I just say very simply, it is very wrong what they’re doing to Texas and it is very wrong what they’re trying to do in California,” Schwarzenegger told me. “It is not at all serving the people. It is serving the party.” @ChronFalkenberg
The former California governor says Trump's plan to rig Texas redistricting maps for Republicans doesn't justify his Democratic successor Gavin Newsom gerrymandering blue seats in retaliation.

If only every politician/former politician felt this way. Our democracy would work the way it’s supposed to: 1 person = 1 vote Voters choose politicians Politicians don’t choose voters

Texas Democrats fleeing Trump’s redistricting didn’t abandon us. Gov. Greg Abbott did. https://t.co/KreNBqT68f

Gov. Greg Abbott is suing to remove state Rep. Gene Wu from office for leading a Democrat walkout over Trump's redistricting plan. But Texans know who really abandoned us.

Trump’s Texas redistricting power grab makes Tom DeLay’s look tame https://t.co/XAhkUwr8zE
houstonchronicle.com
Texas Democrats can run from Republicans' gerrymandering, but they can't hide. No walkouts, blue state redistricting or Voting Rights Act protections can thwart Trump's plot to keep the U.S. House.

Texas officials and Hill Country leaders knew the risks of flooding along the Guadalupe. Warnings went unheeded, flood warnings, river gauges and sirens unfunded — and more than 130 Texans died.
