First time doing an engine rebuild on a Gator TS. Learned a lot doing this! It’s nearly at 10,000 hours and was burning oil a lot reason for the replacements. Valves lapped with new oils seals. New piston, rings and all gaskets and seals replaced. Runs like a Deere again!

How have I only decided to do this now? Rearrange the tool chest to be better. OCD incoming 😄

Recently had led lights fitted in the workshop, they’ve improved the lighting but found something to also help under the machines. LED strips have worked out great.

Fairway units are ready for a wash prepped for a grind. Love this time of year. Spring is just around the corner 👍

Anyone else have one of these ultrasonic cleaners? It’s a must if not, I use it more often than I thought. Cleans very well on parts

Had a lot of fun bringing some life back into our 6500D. Spent some money for sure, but definitely a good investment to continue using it as a winter machine.

Purchased a set of 7 blade cylinders from R&R products for tees and aprons. Gave them a grind beforehand and looks nice.

Boss wanted a cage to carry the cool box around on a buggy to serve beverages on the course to members, so grabbed some materials and got to work. 🍻

Thanks @sportsmetals for getting this to me. Certainly will help to maintain the shoe a lot easier during changes on bedknives. Shout out to the turf techs that shared this, I wouldn’t of known otherwise! 👍

Bringing a set of units back to life. Bushes were worn so ended up wearing the yoke arm and rod. Thankfully drilled a 19mm HSS drill bit to save the yoke arm so a bush can be reinserted with a rod. Saving £900 that can be spent now on something else 👍

Had a divot party yesterday then the members came into the workshop for some snacks being served from the vehicle lift. Afterwards a tour of the machinery, demonstrating the grinding room, stock room and cutting unit set up with discussing topics. Was really cool to see and do

Redexim 7416 draw rods were sticking, stopping the arm from retracting properly. Rubber stop on the left and new on the right. Old one jamming on the draw rod.

Renovations ongoing. Verti draining the greens, after is the 12mm tines with the Procore after the first dressing. Brush then double seed with the tractors. A light dressing after and the aprons getting 12mm tines also.

Been a busy week with competitions and a ladies shotgun start today. Working late with the team to do a dry cut ready for the captains charity day tomorrow. A busy week next week to prep for the spring meeting. Let’s go!

Think I’ve clogged the hoover or I’ve over done it haha. 42 cutting units all set with relief and a spin grind. Spring meeting is just around the corner! Love the intensity to get mowers ready for the year.

Let’s cut it! First time working with golfco rollers so didn’t want to do something I shouldn’t

Little question.. gave the units a tickle on the grinder, come to parallel cylinder to front roller and the eccentric is tucked away without being able to get a socket let alone a spanner with the golfco roller. So can I angle grind that bit off the shaft, it’s in my way!
