I am the luckiest ❤ after a great first day in a very new and sometimes overwhelming learning environment, my sweet sweet husband made me a steak dinner to celebrate this new start. I couldn't ask for a more supportive and thoughtful partner in this life ❤❤❤

To my white colleagues - learn more. Reflect more. DO more. Your students are crying out for change from an oppressive system. Seek it out and make moves in your classroom to spark and direct change. Make changes in yourself. Being complacent means being complicit.

Racism is everywhere - including schools. Mircoaggressions and prejudice are everywhere - absolutely including schools. If you think you are not contributing to a system of injustice, you are. You are just privileged enough to not have to notice.
